CAMH - Toronto, Ontario

Digital Fire was contracted by Vipond Inc for the new construction of three new buildings as part of Phase 1B at CAMH in Toronto, Ontario. Digital Fire integrated the Notifier Network with the exisitng system - over 40 nodes. Digital Fire also programed the fire alarm system. This project was completed in 2012.

Moving forward to project completion in 2020, JCI contracted Digital Fire for the new construction, Phase 1C of two new CAMH buildings on Queen Street West: McCain Complex Care & Recovery Building and the Crisis & Critical Care Building. Digital Fire created the system desgin, installed the programming and conducted the fire alarm verification of the Notifier System.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is a psychiatric teaching hospital located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The hospital was formed in 1998 from the amalgamation of four separate institutions – the Queen Street Mental Health Centre, the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, the Addiction Research Foundation, and the Donwood Institute. It is Canada's largest mental health teaching hospital, and the only stand-alone psychiatric emergency department in Ontario. CAMH has been the site of major advancements in psychiatric research, including the discovery of the Dopamine receptor D2.
